Born and raised in Louisville, KY, John has proudly called Danville home since 1987. A 1991 graduate of Centre College with a B.S. in Economics, he began his financial services career with Hilliard Lyons (now Baird) in the Danville office, where he continues to serve clients with dedication and integrity.
John holds the Chartered Wealth Advisor (CWA) designation and maintains FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, along with Kentucky Life and Health Insurance licenses. With nearly three decades of experience, he brings deep insight and stability to the Stomberger, Gowers Johnson Group.
After teaming up with Chris Gowers in 2017, the group expanded in 2020 with the addition of Mack Johnson. Together, they are committed to delivering a personalized, comprehensive wealth management experience tailored to each client’s goals and values.
John is also deeply rooted in the Danville community. He has served on the boards of the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, and Wilderness Trace Child Development Center. A graduate of the Leadership Boyle County program, he also co-chaired the Youth Leadership Boyle County initiative.
Outside the office, John enjoys time with his wife Shawna and their twin sons, Jack and Seth. Whether relaxing at the lake or casting a line, he finds balance and joy in the outdoors.
